I've been using the latest Opera beta on my Dell X51v and was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to the only issues I am having with it.

First issue is that entering text does not work right in entry fields. Some characters don't print right, and when I tell it to type a space it types two spaces.

Second issue is that sometimes I have to tap once and then tap and hold again to get the context menu to appear. This happens nearly every time. I found this one because I often like to open a link in a new window.

Does anyone have any ideas on these? I ran a search but did not find much.

These all are common problems with Opera b2 I've been many times written on (see for example http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&title=another_nice_bugfix_for_opera_8_5b2_no_l&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 , http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&title=here_s_a_fix_for_the_flaky_file_associat&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1, http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=583&more=1 - these articles have also been cross-posted to here to the PPCT forums and a forum search will find them). They can't be helped - hope the next / final version will fix them all. The Opera folks are aware of the problems (they're too reading my reviews abd bug reports) and I'm prettty sure they will fix them.

Thanks. I did try the Arial font trick, but that didn't do anything. I guess I'll just put up with these issues wait for the final version.

Try doing the same with _Arial.tft so that it'll surely be the first in the alphabet. Also, try copying it to \Windows too (but, then, it'll become locked).

Thanks. The only thing in Windows\Fonts on my PPC is arial.ttf. I can't delete it now, but I was able to rename it so when I get around to doing a soft reset I'll be able to delete it then.
