Greetings!

I’ve just entered the world of ebooks with my first.

It’s a sci-fi/mystery/thriller called ‘Flying’.

The first of three volumes is complete and available at no cost.

If you have the chance to take a read, I’d really appreciate it.

You can get it here …

It is an .EXE file!!! Sorry, but I don't install executable files from strangers on my computer. Don't you have it in .LIT or .PDB format?

It appears as if this is a book created with Exebook (http://exebook.com/cgi-bin/-/exebook/index) and it will not run on a Pocket PC...

Hi,

The executable is ok as far as I can see, I ran through the book on my pc and it did not do any harm :). I checked the web page of the software maker www.exebook.com and it seems legitimate. My problem with it, and the reason I will not read the book is the format. I simply do not read fiction on my pc, only on my ereaders (currently Nokia 770 and Ebookwise 1150), so I need the book in multiformat/multiplatform, for example in a html or txt file. I am willing to buy ebooks as long as I can read them wherever I want, and this means no drm. After all for most authors, obscurity is the main problem, not piracy and treating legitimate customers as potential thieves is very annoying.
I am willing to check out authors who offer their books in non drm form with some samples to see if I like the books and I gladly would pay a reasonable price for an ebook as long as I like it and is not drmed.

Liviu
