Hello all!

I have a new Dell Axim X51V, and I'm fairly new to the PPC world (but not tech in general). I have loaded PocketDivx, SompyMedia player, and TCPMP with the MPEG plugin, and nothing can play my video files that are in .AVI format recorded off a Canon Powershot A520 and another unknown digital camera.

This is quite annoying. I used VLC's mobile player which works somewhat, but is really buggy and crashes all the time while displaying a lot of screen fragments.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I searched the forums and the consensus is to use TCPMP - which I did, to no avail!

Thanks!
-Kyle

According to http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/a520.html , while the file format is AVI, the encoding format is Motion-JPEG (video) and monaural WAV (audio).

You may want to check out PQV or PictPocket Cinema, as mentioned on the Media Players page here:

Does Media Player ion the desktop play them? If so, try syncing them to the Dell using the Device Sync function of media player. Should translate to wmv during the sync.
