Have you tried a hard reset? You will lose all your data and any programs you installed, but this will reset the device back to factory state.

Are you saying you had programs and such installed on the device, before you had a storage card, and when you got one you just copied stuff out of Program files and onto the card?
Doesn't work like that. All the rgistry entries when you installed those programs point to internal storage. It's kind of like installing all your programs in you pc to C: and then adding a second drive. You can't just copy the programs to the new drive.
While there is the option of editing the registry to re-point all the stuff, I wouldn't recommend it to the faint of heart or novices. I'd go through and uninstall what you have, and re-install. You will this time get the option to install to the SD card. (The uninstall is to try and clear out the latent registry entries.

Thanks Sven, I am such a klutz! I missed that reference to transfering programs! In any case, he pm'd me yesterday saying he's resolved the problem.
