I've had my Axim X30 for almost two years now, and have not noticed any problems until recently. Suddenly, I am seeing notes randomly being deleted after a sync, duplicated and deleted appointments, and other weird behavior. On some appointments, I made notes on my laptop (I will take meeting notes within the notes field on the appointment in Outlook.), and when I synced, the notes were gone from both the notebook and my PocketPC! It is as if ActiveSync thought the meeting had been modified on the PDA and not the laptop, which is the opposite of reality. I have had the following configuration for a long time:
Laptop (I cannot change the software configuration, as this is a company-owned laptop):
Windows 2000 Professional
Outlook 2000 Professional
ActiveSync 3.8.0 (Build 5004)
PDA:
Dell Axim X30 624MHz
WM 2003 SE version 4.21.1088
I'm thinking it's about time for a new PDA anyway, but I need to know if the problem would persist. I can't afford to lose any more valuable information!
