I have set up a streaming server on an old desktop I have at home. It broadcasts TV using Windows Media Encoder to any IP that connects to it. I used to use this all the time with my Verizon xv-6600 runing ppc2003se, but now that I have a Sprint ppc-6700 with WM5 it no longer works. In fact, when I try and open the stream (both from my LAN and from an outside source) I get an error. I go to Pocket windows media player and then open URL with my servers IP. It says the file type is not supported and wont play! Is there a workaround? Why is it that I am finding more and more issues with WM5 every day??

Mine works fine. :?:

Try adding a /* to the end of the ip.
So instead of trying to open http://192.168.1.1 normally
try opening http://192.168.1.1/* i think
