change bt and wifi icons in a wm2003se ppc phone QVGA

hi,

anyone know how to/could point out to instructions on how to properly change the blue tooth and wi fi icons in the system tray for a qvga wm2003se device (like my imate pda2k, for example). thanks a bunch

You have to hack the dlls or exes in question - not that hard, but the problem is figuring out which one. Because bluetooth and wifi implementation tends to be manufacturer specific, it doesn't really help looking at examples from other machines. Can you see which programs are placed in your startup folder? The links there are a good starting point.

thanks so much for your help, this are the files that I have in the startup folder (please see the two shots....I've also noticed that there's only the Run_bttray_ce10 (blutetooth exe file) I don't see where the wifi exe would be??? I haven't been able to tell from looking into the windows folder either....!! If identifiable, would you be able to modify these exe files? are you interested in modifying your icons? it'd be awesome if you could as I am a total noob when it comes to modifying dll or exe files for that matter....

:lol: TBH, I'm not any kind of artist at all, and I've only ever tried something like this once before - but as I said, it's really not all that hard with the right software.
