I've been reading those posts since yesterday when mrailing said he knew someone who was testing it. It looks a little complicated for my liking, but I will definitely be the first to install it when the official upgrade comes out.

Ah, who am I kidding? I will probably take the plunge this weekend when I have more time to devote to the upgrade process without trying to hurry through it.

I was bouncing around from site to site seeing where the upgrade popped up. Really it's not that bad of an update. I am amazed at how quickly this has spread. I think I have seen it on at least 20 websites now, and it's only been a few hours.

Glad the word is getting out...

I installed it yesterday. The PDA is intially slower than 2003SE, but after a little tweaking (sktools) the entire thing runs blazing fast now. I'll post something up to help everyone else.

Here's the link to download WM5 upgrade.

Now, my question is, what happens to all built-in applications (such as
VoiceSignal, SpriteBackup, WiressSync) after upgrade? Will I have to get
them on my own? Or will it be included in WM5 image above?

All of the built-in apps that Verizon included with the previous version of the OS are still there, with the exception of Sprite backup. Now that the memory is handled differently and everything doesn't get erased when the battery goes dead, I don't think I'm going to miss Sprite backup.
