Restore and Partnership Help Needed!

Unfortunately, I've recently had a total dump of my Samsung SGH-i700 and have no backup to restore. So, when I reconnect Active Sync wants me to create a new Partnership, no problem. So how do I get files from my old partnership to my new partnership? Must I painfully cut and paste via explore? Tell me there's an easier sulutio.

Which files are you refering to? The synced files that's usually in My Documents? Or installed programs?

jconruss here, I'm referring to the my documents file usually located on the desktop. And since you are asking, can I restore lost programs files as well, or should I be prepared to reinstall these?

What I would have done was delete the original partnership in Activesync. You'll be asked about keeping your sync files folder, just respond yes. This way, you can create a new partnership using the old name, and the files would be automatically synced. It's no big deal the way you've done it either - just rename the old sync folder to the new one, or copy the old synced files over to the new sync folder. It's not necesary to copy the files to your PDA through AS.

As to your second question - backup, backup, backup. A good backup program like Sprite is your friend.
