Nice one, Steve!
A couple of points though:
1. Indexing chains is just a fancy name the program gives for ripping a copy of the DVD onto your hard drive.
2. On a personal note I usually select a bitrate/compression rate for my rips rather than a standard size, just to get a consistent quality across all my rips. Anal, I know

Thanks for your comments hishamh. I'm still kind of new with it and designed the tutorial w/newbees in mind. When I first started ripping movies the only tutorials were overly complicated and were written by people who were too technical. I wrote this for the non-technical person who's just starting out. However, as people get better at it they'll want to know what they're doing, so your comments are very much appreciated!

I've tried about every free program out there (AutoGK, Pocket Divx Encoder, etc) and Fairuse Wizard beats them all. The best part is that it does the entire job; I don't require a separate DVD ripper or anything else. I also like that it allows for a non-technical person to quickly set up for a rip while a "geek" can dig deeper and customize the settings more to his liking.
I just burned Mystery Men last night. Took about 20-25 minutes to build the chain and then conversion took about another hour (although I didn't stand by with a stop watch). Results: 378 MB for a 640x480 movie with 96kbps MP3 sound. I watched it on my Axim X50v and it shows no pixelation or chops, even during action scenes! Pretty sweet.
Thanks for the tutorial. This one is HIGHLY recommended.
