I travel between the UK and US regularly. Is there a Windows 5.0 device that has high speed data in both the US and UK. I don't mind having two accounts US and UK and switching SIM cards. It seems to me that its either one or the other. 3G or evdo/edge ?? Maybe I am missing something. Thanks in advance.

BryanBasically 1G,2G,3G stands for 1generation,2nd,3generation. Analog phones=1G, Digital=2G, Digital with data...2.5, Digital with hi-speed=3G.
There are two competing standards/technologies CDMA & GSM. Those are 2G. GPRS(GSM) & 1xRTT(CDMA) are 2.5G.
EDGE(GSM)& EVDO(CDMA) are 3G? Not sure....
Your best bet is a tri-band Edge phone.
N. America uses different frequencies and that is the primary obstacle there.
