My old HP Jornada had the coolest thing. It came with a slider so that I could allocate memory from programs to storage and vice versa. Is there any way to do that in WM5 on a PPC 6700 phone?

You won't find it on a WM5 machine for a very good reason - it's completely unnecessary. Previous iterations of the OS used RAM for both program execution (like on a PC) and storing files (i.e. like a RAM disk). In WM5, RAM is used exclusively for program execution, and default file storage is now confined to ROM. This has the advantage of persistent storage - if you lose power for any reason, your files will no longer be lost.
