I'm planning a mod of sorts and I have a question concerning SD cards. It's known that RAM chips can be stacked to increase memory to devices that use flash memory (i.e. MP3 players, PDAs, etc.). It's also known that SD cards can be stacked (http://www.hitachi.com/New/cnews/E/1999/990422B.html).

I was thinking -- has anyone tried stacking SD cards yet? Regardless that most PPC slots are insert-type slots, it would be an interesting project to undertake. I googled but came out empty-handed.

I guess my question are:

1) Is it doable?
2) Are SD cards stackable simply by matching the pin-outs?
3) Which pins need to be connected in parallel in order for this to work? All of them?
4) Does anyone have experience stacking SD-type cards like that?
5) Million dollar question: Any dangers involve?
