Hot on the heels of the first g-Smart, the new 'i' model features tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS connectivity, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, a 2.4" QVGA (240 x 320) 262K-colour TFT-LCD, 802.11b Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.2, an analog TV receiver, integrated FM radio, a 2.1-megapixel camera, a miniSD slot, and Windows Mobile 5.0. If nothing changes, we could be looking at an end of May release with an approximate $600 price tag.

Isn't analog TV transmission supposed to go away in the U.S. in a couple of years?

somehow a pda with rabbit-ear antennas seems like a big step backwards, although it will allow the manufacturer to create some potentially interesting commercials starring Elmer Fudd:

"Be vewy vewy quiet! Its wabbit hunting season!"

Look like an awesome device. Good point about standard definition television going away (supposedly by end of year). However, I would hope that manufacturers can incorporate a high definition tuner by that point. I think integrated television and radio (along with GPS) will become mandatory features in Pocket PC's just like phone capability has become almost standard today.

Good price too, for the features you get!

Hmmm - I'd like to see VGA screen on something like that.

Seems like the only other thing missing is integrated GPS and something to make the tea ;-)
