I hope I am asking this in the right place. I have a Dell AXIM X30, and I have previously loaded the Active Sync and Outlook 2002 that came on the installation CD, on 3 different machines, where everything worked fine. I have been given a new system and when we (I am not a system administrator) loaded the software on a new computer, the active sync software (v 3.7) loaded correctly, and it syncs my favorites. However, when the Outlook was loaded, it had every appearance that it was successful, but I cannot find any trace of an executable for Outlook on the system. We have done file name searches and even looked at all the files in the Office folders. Next we searched the system and tried to narrow down to the files that were created or changed during the period the software was loaded. Still nothing. The strangest thing is that if you go to the Control Panel and the add/remove software, there is an entry there for Outlook 2002. Twice we have tried to repair or remove the application, and when we do that, the system seems to think that the software is there. The suite is Office XP and the Office applications (as loaded) were SP3. Any ideas on what to do next? My IT department doesn't want to spend any more time on this since it is a personal PDA. Thanks for any help you can give me.
