I know this is probably a no-brainer, but is there a way to load printer drivers onto an rx1955? I would like to be able to print Excel, Notepad, and Word files.

You would think it was a no brainer, but it's not. There doesn't seem to be any solutions currently available that work on WM5.0 devices. It also appears that no one is working to develop anything either.

You can try ActivePrint (http://activeprint.pocketwatchsoftware.com/) - it's now compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0.

Good point, Darius, but I have always failed to see the point of this application. If you need to be connected to a desktop to use it, it becomes very limited, plus if you need to be connected to a desktop, what do you need ActivePrint for? Just copy it to your desktop and print it.

Personally I'm disappointed that there are no WM5.0 compatible print applications. FieldSoftware, the developer of PocketPrintCE have NO plans to update PocketPrintCE to WM5.0 I have a Cannon portable printer with a Bluetooth print adapter which works very well when I'm away, but now I'm limited to one invoicing application that I can print from. word, Excel, and any others are now impossible to print. I really don't see why MS don't build this ability into its OS. Printing is a very important function of mobility.

You could use Westtek ClearVue Suite - see http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45239&highlight=clearvue . It supports printing of almost anything under WM 5.

Thanks man! I was under the impression that Clearvue was compatible with WM5.0 with everything but printing. I'll give it a go.....thanks
