I recently recovered my data from a damaged sd card? I wanted to know, how do you transfer data from you desktop to another sd card, with losing the same directory that was on the old card? I am not sure if the usage of the word director is correct, but what I mean is, can I copy all the paths which allowed me to access my sd card installed program into another sd card?

Sure. You can just duplicate the directory structure on the new card manually if you wish. The easiest way is to make a temp folder on your PC and do a select all and copy the files/folders off the SD card all at once. You can copy them all back to a new SD card the same way. You do need to make sure that you have File Explorer set to show hidden and system files so when you select all, you actually select all, not just those that are visible. Probably don't need to show system files as i don't expect many of those on an SD card.
If you are having trouble with the SD card, you may need to verify what did and didn't copy off the card manually or with a directory comparison program like Beyond Compare.
You can do this if you get a new, bigger card too. Just copy off all the files from your old 256M card to the PC and then back onto the new 1G card. Everything will work as before but you'll have more room.
