PPC won't sync with pc's windows media?

Would someone please let me know why my Axim X51v will not sync with my Pc's windows media 10? I push the sync button and get "no device has been detected. Press F5 to refresh the player"?

Have you got ActiveSync installed on that PC?

Yes. I have Activesync 4.1. Its driving me absolutley crazy please hurry! LOL

Okay, open up Windows Media Player 10 and select Tools > Options > Devices. Does the name of your Pocket PC appear in that menu? If so, select it and click Properties, then try fiddling around with the settings.

An alternative is to use ActiveSync's new Media feature. If you open ActiveSync on the PC, then select Tools > Options, you'll notice a Media box. Tick it, click OK, and see if you can sync media that way.

This is really driving me bonkers!!!!!!!! No dice on the advise you gave me. I tried both options and and still came up with the same result? I even tried to sync it with my media center and it states can not find devise? I'm about ready to give up!!!!

I've just had the same thing happen to me.

The Axim used to show up in the list of devices in WMP but now there's no sign of it.

Is it because I've installed the new ROM 06?

Anyone else having this trouble?

The Axim used to show up in the list of devices in WMP but now there's no sign of it.
Try reinstalling ActiveSync (4.1) -- WMP sometimes gets confused about Pocket PC devices.
