Hi all,
I did a search and can't seem to find this anywhere. I would like to remove the Outlook e-mail account from the messaging app on my PPC. Is there a way to do this. I do not sync with outlook.
Thanks in advance.

I am having the same issue. I got my 8125 today and added an account I didn't want to. Now I can't seem to find a way to delete it. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated!! :?

Welcome to PPCT :)
It's very easy to delete self-added accounts
Go to Menu/Tools/Options; tap-and-hold the given account name and choose Delete from the pop-up menu:

(Also see this tutorial (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=600&more=1) on changing Messaging account names if interested.)

I've spent over an hour trying to get rid of the default Outlook account by heavily editing the WinCE database pmailFolders. It seems it's not possible to do this - Messaging will recreate the account if it's missing in the underlying database.

Actually, you can remove the default Outlook E-Mail folders-- see here:
http://htcwizard.westlands.org/2006/02/20/remove-folders-from-the-messaging-program/
This link describes how to remove the Hotmail folders, but it works also for the Outlook E-Mail folders.
However, when I removed those folders, I had an unwelcome side effect that caused me to put them back: Once those folders were gone, my 8125 refused to give me any kind of notification -- audible, visible, or vibrating-- when a text message or e-mail came in. The only clue I had a new message was the Today plug-in. So I put the Outlook folders back and I started getting notifications again.

Now that you say this - I've just noticed exactly the same after reimporting pmailFolders.
