<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.tengo.net/tengo_pocketpc.html' target='_blank'>http://www.tengo.net/tengo_pocketpc.html</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Xrgomics (pronounced Zer-gore-mix), officially announced the launch of the new TenGO v2.0 for the Pocket PC (WM2003 and WM5 OS). With a fresh new look and a new second TenGO Nano layout, Xrgomics continues to utilize the successful TenGO engine, with its QWERTY design of 6 large main alphabet keys. The main power of the TenGO design is the ability to reach fast typing speeds with very little learning as it is essentially the same as typing on the normal keyboard except for the larger and fewer keys."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/wey-20060220-TenGO.gif" /><br /><br />This is a great SIP for anyone looking to supercharge their text input rate on a Pocket PC. The v2.0 update fixes most of the "gotchas" that Andy highlighted in his <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19392">review</a> in 2003, but it also includes a plethora of new features of which you can learn more about <a href="http://www.tengo.net/tengo_pocketpc.html">here</a>. Take a look at this updated SIP by downloading the free 30-day trial version from the <a href="http://www.tengo.net/">TenGO site</a>. As a bonus, if you're a registered v1.x user, you can update to v2.0 for free.

Wow! Free upgrade for 1.xx users!

Gadget, the program has supports VGA since version 1.30.

Edit: did anyone manage to upgrade to version 2.0 okay? It's rejecting my key for some weird reason. I'll fire them an email when I get home later today.

If you have a Pocket PC without a keyboard, TenGo is a very cool product - definitely my favourite input program.

The video is pretty entertaining :

All GUI elements of TenGO 2.0 are displayed using pixel quadrupling. As a result all letters (incl. text of tutorial notes) are very blocky and pixelated. A real eye sore.

Yes, the application works on a VGA Pocket PC, but not as a true VGA aware application.

I have TenGo Thumb, and it's very cool. I have seen some misbehavior with programs that automatically fill in fields with past-used text, such as ListPro and Cash Organizer. In fact, it's unusable with Cash Organizer.

Given that TenGo Thumb is skinnable, couldn't you create a VGA skin that looks better?

I'm trialing it on my iPaq 4150, and it seems really good, the only down side is that you don't have bumps to guide your taps. A clear overlay might be the go.

CookieKid, did you manage to get a new registration code? If not, you can re-register here: http://www.tengo.net/tengo_register.php

Ahh, so THAT's the reason. The email account that I've registered with them no longer exists so I wouldn't have gotten anything. Thanks for the URL! Time to retrieve my new serial:D
