Hello All,

Well, my software was developed and tested soley on wm 2003 machines. I just had two wm 5 phones shipped to me for review (the Treo 700w and the Torq p120) and unfortunately my software does not run on either one of them. So, I want to see if someone with just a standard wm5 ppc (not the phone edition) can run it or if it is jsut localized to the phone edition.

The link is http://www.pocketpcinvoice.com/setup/STD/setup.zip. Please let me know. Thanks!

Nope:

Might want to work on that and then test it yourself in the Visual Studio Pocket PC Emulator. :)

Well Poop, thanks for the Screenshot though! From my understanding, the wm5 emulator is only available to vb.net 2005; I only have 2003.

You can download the standalone Device Emulator Preview (http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windowsmobile/downloads/emulatorpreview/default.aspx) and the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for the images, but the latter requires VS2005.

However, you have the option of ordering the Resource Kit DVD (http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windowsmobile/howto/resourcekit/default.aspx) to overcome that barrier.

I highly recommend the resource kit on DVD.

I had similar issues with emulators and tried the emulator preview. It works but has a few minor issues.

The DVD Resource Kit comes with a 90 day trial version of Visual Studio 2005 plus the emulator which as far as I can tell is bug-free.
