REG HACK - Turn off GPRS totally (and back to working state) without going to settings

1: You need a Registry editor ( eg. Resco Explorer )
2: Find the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\
3: under that , you should see you GPRS settings , for example , mine 's OPTUS GPRS Internet , OPTUS GPRS MMS etc , pick the right one and export it to the *.REG file, and name it to something like " GPRS ON.reg "
4: Modify the setting inside ( for example OPTUS GPRS Internet ) , and change the Enabled value from 1 to 0, then export it to GPRS OFF.reg

use the GPRS ON /OFF .reg to toggle between GPRS always off and on when required.

Happy Registry editing

Speaking of quick enabling/disabling this in the registry, I've described at http://www.firstloox.org//forums/showthread.php?p=28878 how you can put the registry import files on your Today screen to be imported with just one screen tap.

Note that the tutorial uses Spb Pocket Plus; you can use any Today launcher app for this purpose. Please read http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=366634 on the alternatives.

Menneisyys:
I do use SPB plus and put the 2 GPRS on & off on the screen :)
There are other options once the 2 reg files are created, eg: using hard button, task bar execute, today screen tap , place them in start menu etc.

The problem is when you click the reg file (resco explorer), there will be a msgbox pop up and ask you " do you really want to import the registy " , after you click it, you need to click Ok one more time...
