Spb Backup is based on the proven technology used in Spb Clone. Thousands of enterprise users rely upon Spb Clone to create exact copies of their "master" PDA devices. This tested technology was used to create a backup program that would benefit Pocket PC consumers at all levels. Spb Backup creates a self-restoring image file that can be restored with or without installing the main Spb Backup application. The backup file can be compressed and password protected with strong 128-bit AES algorithm. The scheduled backup features will help users to have regular, mistake-free backups."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/spb-backup-01.gif" /><br /><br />Finally, some great competition in the realm of software backup! I use this product with my verizon wireless xv6700 and it works without a hitch. This product will give those individuals who feel disinfranchised with Sprite Softwares practices a solid program to embrace. I have been a beta tester for this product from its inception and must tell you I am estatic by the final product. This program is what windows mobile 5 users have been waiting for. Many thanks to the SPB team for bringing us yet another superior program. Tim January

I was just starting to consider what backup utilities (among other software) I'd use on my new PDA or smartphone. Because I thing both Rex and T-Rex (PDA and Mobile Phone) are showing their age.

The other thing this program needs - after a bit of use - is that it doesn't have Sprite's ability to select and over-write backups. I have to manually delete old backups in Resco (or other) file explorer after I create a new one to save space.

Not that I really need to with a 1Gb SD card... maybe I'm just a perfectionist :)

l am using SBP Backup and have it set to only keep 2 backup files. When I look at the folder where I keep the backup files, I only see 2 .exe files, but all of the .txt files that are created do not get deleted. I wish it would do that instead of leaving them there, but at only 200 bytes each, they are not hurting my 1 gig SD card.
