Ive seen on some screen shots on some theme web sites that the text on the star bar is alot smaller i was wondering how i could get the text smaller?

You could mess around with the default font (and size) in the registry - I believe Menneisyys posted a tutorial on how to do this a while back. I use that plus Wisbar Advance 2 to get the look I want.
