I was too. Until I found . . . Socket's Mobile Power Pack. . . . The idea is simple: a super 5 volt rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, with 7,200 mAh capacity (output is 5 volts @ 1.8 Amps) – and a USB Type A plug. On top of this a collection of cables in a variety of formats, and an AC adapter with with 4 international wall plugs for USA/Europe/UK/Aust."<br /><br />• Apple iPod Charging Cable <br />• 6 volt Booster (for use with Nokia Phones &amp; other 6v devices) <br />• Palm Charging Cable<br />• Retractable USB Cable <br />• 2.5 mm adapter to USB (LG, Kyocera) <br />• 3.5 mm adapter to USB (Nokia, digital cameras, Garmin) <br />• 4.0 mm Cable to USB (for Pocket PCs)<br /><br /> <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/MPP.jpg" /> <br /><br />Certainly sound like a great idea if you travel with several devices, apparently as long as you don't mind the device <a href="http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?ContentId=5732">"looking suspicious".</a> I'm just glad that all newer Pocket PCs seem to be heading toward using USB as a universal syncing and charging port. Standardisation is great! Or is that too much to ask for? :worried:

Standardisation is great!

What and ruin the fact that at every step a electronics user needs to buy some kind of new converter/adapter.... this is just crazy talk!

Yes, I'm mad like that. Want to hear what I think about memory card slots? (SD slots rock!)

True. I want the CF slot back on more devices as well...

I purchased one of these. Well worth it. My XDAIIi sucks power like anything and this device can be used as a power supply as well as a top up. It has a belt clip so can be used easily on the go.

These are wonderful charges but cost about $120 US. There are other options that are far less expensive. I'm currently using a Pelican Power Brick (http://www.pelicanacc.com/psp/psp_spec_sheet/6018.htm) that was $20 at Radio Shack. You can get a double A battery charger as well. The Socket is the King of the Hill but you pay for it. Great Review.
