Operating System language changes

Hi there

Maybe somebody can give me some guidance on a problem that I face.

I am an English speaker living in Switzerland, and find it very difficult to find software in my mother tongue as all software is German, Italian or French (of course, based on the countries official languages).

I have the possibility to purchase a second hand iPaq from a colleague, but the Windows Mobile Operating System is in German.

I would like to convert the OS language to English, without going as far as buying a new Windows mobile license and importing it.

Does anybody have any ideas how I can solve this problem?

Sorry to disappoint you Rallim, but changing the language of the OS violates the license agreement and voids any warranty. Also, you can't buy separate licenses for Windows Mobile (unlike the desktop OS).

As to your software problem - why not buy online? From experience, most WM software is distributed online - it's actually rare to find them on store shelves. Try Handango (http://www.handango.com) or Pocket Gear (http://www.pocketgear.com). For freeware try PocketPcFreewares (http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com).
