Whenever I plug in my device to sync, Outlook opens up in the background and puts its icon in the tray. I didn't think much of it, but when I looked in the Processes of the Task Manager, I found that when my device is connected to my computer, Outlook is taking up a total of 76MB of ram, and every other process else involving ActiveSync and Outlook uses about 14MB. Now I don't think it's necessary to use almost a hundred megs of ram just to have the device plugged into my computer. It's constantly taking up this much ram whether it's in the process of updating everything or not. Is there a way to fix this? Does Outlook REALLY need to be open in the background the entire time my device is connected, or can I just make it open up only when I open Outlook myself? How much ram does everybody elses' Outlook take up?
