Does anybody know where I could find software that would:
1) Let me download my hotmail account (kind of like what you can do with a POP account)?
2) Let me synchronize all my e-mail accounts in one go without me having to manually switch through them.

M.Nope. Hotmail has disabled that. Upgrade your hotmail account and POP access will be enabled.
I haven't used it in a while, but does HTTP Mail not work any longer? It used to (~September I last tried it)

HTTPMail (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=9539) works fine.

HTTP access to hotmail was "supposedly" disabled too. Some time back, Hotmail issued a notice that you wouldn't be able to use Outlook/Express HTTP access any longer. This would affect HTTPMail as well.

They have since reconsidered. If your account used to work it will continue to do so. In fact, many accounts were offered free upgrades such as increased storage space etc.

AdrianYes, the article says as much. Previous users will be "grandfather claused". New users are not allowed unless they upgrade.

I got HTTPMail: awsome. It works for all my three hotmail accounts, was super easy to install and appears to download the messages faster than my POP account. thanks Adrian.
