Ok,
I am new to the PPC world and need some help. I have been eyeing this new version of Pocketbreeze which looks really sweet.Combining calendar view, tasks, email, pop calendar, notes all on the today screen. It got good reviews from tankerbob .

It states it has plugins to work with agendus and Pocket informant but are either of those programs needed with Pocket breeze? It looks like it does it all and I wonder what other features can be added by buying PI or Agendus? I do see you can add weatherbreeze or other weather plugins and contact breeze to the pocketbreeze tabs.

Here are some of the things i am looking to do on my today screen . weather, email, notes , schedule of some kind and tasks. I also want to have a text view for my calendar and adjust days and months with colors for vacations , meetings etc, along with icons.

So what do you guys use? Anybody use pocketbreeze yet? If so what do you think of it? Is it work buying PI or agendus also?

Pocket Breeze is ONLY a today plugin that replaces the original default PIM plugin, which offers very little customization. PocketInforment or tAgenda, however, COMPLETELY replacement for the PIM function of the Pocket PC. PB and PI are totally different softwares. Pocket Breeze can be configured to display data from PocketInformant or tAgenda, but it's not neccessary at all.

I currently use pocket breeze. I use to use pocket informant too. I tried out the demo version and I found that it contains a lot of features a casual user just dont use.

There are some people who swear by pocket informant.
But, pocket breeze fulfils my needs as I just have to make my ppc on to view the appointments

I just make appointments in the default calender app and then, I can view them on my today screen on the move.

I would still say, first try the trial versions of apps you are interested in before buying anything

I will go and try both before buying. Can you do the following in the standard calendar.
Color shade days
color code fonts
text in the month view
icons sets

Do you mean the default today calendar plugin? If yes, the answer is NEVER.

Yes, I mean the standard default out of the box calendar? You mean it won't do any of these? :(

I can tell you the following in context with Pocket Breeze(PB) and Pocket Informant(PI) though..

Color shade days
color code fonts Yes,in both

color code fonts Yes, in both

text in the month view in PI

icons sets in both

Still I'll suggest you that you should try the trial versions of both the software before buying.

Pocket Breeze is great and it will do everything you want. If you have money, definately go for it. It's a great software that you'll love. You might want Pocket Informant too since I think you'll REALLY hate built-in PIM.
