Problems with Active Sync

I bought HP IPAQ hx2495 couple of days back and iam having problem with Active Sync 4.1. When i place the device on cradle, Activesync stays in connecting state. I did google and read most of the artciles posted on AS but did not help me. I tried most of the options mentioned in these articles. I tried connecting my device from my friends laptop and on his machine it works fine.

Any suggestions?

Try, uninstalling Activesync, then reinstalling it.

That's what i would do.

But wait for the proffessionals to reply :oops:

Welcome to the world of MS's improved active sync application. :roll:

Fact is for some unknown reason MS has been unable to deliver a easy to use, stable, efficient sync application in over 5+ years of trying. Version 4.x seems to have even more troubles than most. :evil:

Arun, are you running any custom (i.e., not built into Windows) firewall or VPN software? Often, these can interfere with ActiveSync 4.x.
