Are the Targus Stowaway Portable Keyboard for iPaq H31xx/H36xx/H37xx still available to be bought new? Mine is in HORRIBLE condition (all locks but one work, connecter paint is wearing off and is misaligned, the right side of the keyboard is only held by a broken lock piece, the actual wiring, and some tape, alot of essential keys do not work [e.g. enter, right shift], and a key has fallen off and I cannot put it back on) and I'd prefer to buy it new instead of used.

Wasn't the Targus keyboard was just a re-branded ThinkOutside product? If so, I would check their website (http://www.thinkoutside.com/index.asp).

They do list two keyboards for the iPAQ:

Stowaway Portable Keyboard for iPAQ (http://www.thinkoutside.com/products/90187/90187_product.html)
Stowaway XT Portable Keyboard for iPAQ (http://www.thinkoutside.com/products/90189/90189_product.html)

Unfortunately, they do not specifically list compatibility with the iPAQ 31xx/36xx/37xx

Thanks. The site has a compatibility list that doesn't list the H3100, but judging from the exact same look + pictures (there is a H3600, which is a H3100, but in color + different colored buttons) I'm pretty sure it would work. Thanks.

I would not trust their pictures. I have seen companies update a product but continue to use the old photos. I think I recall even seeing a listing for a Pocket PC compatible keyboard that has a photo of a Palm III.

You're in luck, that I read this, as I have one in my shed, never used. When I first bought my IPAQ 2210, there were no keyboards yet that said they were compatible with that model, some said that the keyboards for Ipaq 3800, etc. would work with it, so I bought the Targus Stowaway for IPAQ 3600, 3700, 3800, and 3900 from Ebay, new. It didn't work with my 2210 (later I bought the HP kbd for the 2210, and still later the Stowaway Bluetooth). Having bought it from Ebay, I couldn't return it. It's been sitting in my shed, collecting dust. I've thought of selling it and a few others, but never got around to advertising them. It's brand new, unused, in the box, with manual, all original packaging.

I was so eager to get a keyboard for my IPAQ at that time, that I bought a few others also from Ebay, but alas none fit my 2210. I have another full-size folding keyboard, not as full as the Stowaway, smaller folded up. (In fact, can fit folded in a pants pocket.) Also for IPAQ 3800 and 3900. It has all five rows of keys, full in terms of keys, but the keys are smaller. It is called Epad, and is also new, in its original box.

Also--two thumb keyboards, also for the IPAQ models mentioned above, but they would not fit my 2210, both also brand new, in all original packaging, with manuals, CDs, etc. One is the official one from HP/Compaq. The other is by Iconcepts.

I would sell them to you, or to anyone reading who is interested. (I won't bother with Ebay, etc.) I would prefer to sell all four together, to someone who has one of those IPAQs. Much easier to put them all in one box to send to one person, than to deal with two, three, or four separate sales and shipments.

Anyone interested--please PM me, and let me know what you would offer for the four keyboards for IPAQ 3800, 3900, etc., all new in original packaging.
