ppc-6700 registry editing

I'm using a sprint ppc-6700 and trying to turn on the data connection permenantly but am denied access when editing the registry. This is the first time i've tried editing so if anyone knows how to unlock the registry, I'd appreciate some help. Thanks.

Try a different registry editor. I had the same thing happen, then used a different editor and it worked.
