Hey,
I was having some problems with my Dell Axim X51v battery draining.
When i turn it off in the morning, and i don't use it all day, the battery is usually almost all gone. I make sure wifi and bluetooth are off too.
I'm confused. And also, i just ordered a new battery from Dell and the problem still persists.

Have you installed the latest ROM update? If not, that's where I would start.

Try hard-resetting ur ppc. Looks like there is some application which is the culprit.

This appears to be a known problem with WM5 -- something to do with a filesys.exe file working the CPU at 100% on a regular basis. There are couple of lengthy threads over at www.aximsite.com discussing possible 'hacks' to stop it, or at least slow it down a bit, or throttle it back.
It appears to be affecting both upgraded X50's and X51's.

Try hard resetting and then try the update again.

Wow, kool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hard resetted it (after i backed it up on a card), then i
installed the A06 update on it. Going from A01 to A06 is
a very big jump. But when i tried to restore it from my memory card,
it said the file appeared to be broken or invalid
But it's okay, all i have to do is install my favorite things, since
most of the other stuff was demo's. But the good thing is
that the battery doesn't drain and i don't get the white screens :D   :devilboy:
Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!
