[Affiliate] I don't think I've seen too many other games updated for square screens. How are you guys with such devices coping with the aspect ratio? Are you finding software support OK or is it a problem being square?

I have a couple of games from Astraware downloaded that are compatible with the square screen, but I've not put other apps on for the very reason that there's not much screen real esate to deal with. I miss my launchers and stuff, but on the Treo, the speed dial application takes up too much room. I'll take a look at this bunch of games, though. I like the way they look.

PDA Mill already have done this for Gems Flux and game box classics asides from this OmniG are also offering their games for this format

Thinking Bunny and Pacmad do not work on the 700w in this games pack. Thinking Bunny only shows the right half of the screen in the game; the left side is a black screen. And Pacmad crashes when you try hit Play in the game menu.

int13, the developer, has been working hard to resolve these issues with me over the weekend after I purchased the game for my 700w.

Many developers don't have a 700w to test their games on; they are going off of the idea that if it works on the 6515 square screen, it will work on the Treo. That's not the case. I think the Treo handles many games with the premise that it recognizes games as being 320x240 and will reformat them to fit the square screen on the device. Many normal PPC games will fit the 700w screen because of this; the on-screen buttons, though, will be off. You may have to tap a button half an inch below that button in order to get recognition.

I think this forced reformatting is playing a part in games made for the square screen. I don't know, though, since I'm not a developer; but I have owned a 6515 and now a 700w, and there are differences in gameplay and how games work/look on each screen.

I know that Dig-Concepts is working on Rocket Elite Gold. Microsoft sent them a Tre 700w to help tweak their apps.

Has there been any progress fixing this problem? I'd like to buy the arcade pack, but I'm waiting until I hear all the games work.
