NI3P is an application running on Windows Mobile 2003 and 5.0 used on Pocket PC. If you use a handheld and want to easily read your feeds on it, News Interceptor 3 Pocket will do the job! It offers the same features of the PC version of News Interceptor."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/wey-20060113-NI3P.gif" /><br /><br />This free news reader for the Pocket PC supports RSS, Atom, and RDF. It's compatible with Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0, but do note that it's still a beta. Also, the <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9655156b-356b-4a2c-857c-e62f50ae9a55&displaylang=en">.NET Compact Framework 2.0</a> is a requirement.

I haven't used a news reader on my PPC but I would like to. Does anyone have recommendations on which one to get? This free one sounds good but I don't have anything to which I can compare it.

Not free, but Egress (http://www.garishkernels.net/egress.html) has excellent support and reasonable updates, not to mention free lifetime upgrades. There's also NewsBreak (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/nw/newsbreak.htm). It isn't updated nearly as often, but it's certainly capable of what it does.

Neither of these require the .Net 2.0 CF to function, so they're likely more storage-friendly than NI3P.

Looking for an RSS reader...I noticed this funny line on News Interceptor's website:

"Take note that if your computer is missing any of the requirements to run our softwares, you will be noticed."

Not sure I want download this and take the chance of being "noticed"

"Take note that if your computer is missing any of the requirements to run our softwares, you will be noticed."
That sounds ominous. At least they gave us fair warning.
