Looking for a Populous clone or similar

I loved the original Populous game for the Amiga all those years ago and I am now on the lookout for a similar type of game for the Pocket PC. Does anyone have any links or suggestions? TIA.

Yip, I know most of these but Populous is more of a God game than an RPG. Any suggestions.

I loved that game too. There's no direct PPC port/rewrite. Also, there're no similar games on the PPC AFAIK.

However, as it was a multiplatform game, you may want to check out some of the Amiga or PC emulators. The PC version, released back in 1990 (still in the XT age), prolly runs without problems under Pocket DOS. (I'll check it.)

I've never seen Populous but I do own Black & White (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/blackwhite/review.html) which sounds pretty simular (unfortunately it is also not available for PocketPC but then the graphics and sound can never compare anyway).

Populous was the mass market Daddy of the god games. Seemed complex at first but actually easy to play and very addictive.
