Hw6715/Hw6915 (Or whatever HP want to call it!)

For almost a year now, rumours have been circulating regarding the release of the Hw6715. With the Hw6515 only just released in the US the release date has been rumoured to have been knocked back to end of Q1 06.

With CES2006 starting today in Las Vegas I was wondering if anyone had found out confirmed specs/release dates or will we have to wait till GSM3 in February before HP decide to confirm the rumours??

If the rumours about the specs are remotely true one would think that HP would be "chomping at the bit" to release the Hw6715 and wage war on the Treo650 and Treo700w???

Nothing is official at this stage. The closest you'll get to some sort of confirmation is the leaked set of specs in Figure 1 and 2 of this Quick Look article (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/articles.php?action=expand,43176:dont_paginate,1) I wrote in September 2005. The CPU may now be different, but everything else should still be the same.

And yes, I believe the hw69xx model name is now set in stone.
