Is it possible to convert or process Word docs in some way (on my PC) so that they appear correctly formatted when I read them in uBook (on my PPC)?

The documents I've tried so far display special characters in various places, like quotes and sometimes (not always!), the double spaces after full stops. And there is always a large section at the beginning full of non-printable stuff.

I can of course convert the docs to LIT and read in MS Reader, using the add-on in Word, but I'd like the option to read in uBook too.

Well, you could save them as TXT files, then convert them to PDB using something like DocInOut.

Have you tried saving them as an rtf file or as suggested, as a txt file? Both of these formats are generally less format intensive than a doc file.

Thanks both. Hadn't thought of simple TXT or RTF!
