I'm fairley new to this scene & was wondering if there is an easy way to get the latest JRE onto this device to run java web applications? I don't need to do any compiling or coding.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

NO JRE.
Did you mean JVM? IBM J9, Creme, Java Jeode.
IBM J9 is $6.
