First off..how do i allocate memory on the 1950 between programs and memory. on the older ppc i had there was a slider bar, but now i dont c the slider bar at all. secondly, im wanting to buy a keyboard for my ppc and im wondering on some that will work for the 1950. i found the Think Outside keyboard: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002OKCX4/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_2/102-9728486-3808937?%5Fencoding=UTF8
and it says that it works for the 1900, but doesnt say anything about the 1950. does it work? if not, could someone lead me to one that will work.
Thanks again!@!

Although Amazon has not been updated, Think Outside has indeed released WM5 drivers (http://www.thinkoutside.com/stowawayir_product.html) for the Infrared Stowaway model. I found no indication that the hardware itself has changed, so you should just be able to buy any Stowaway infrared and download the driver if you get an older one, but it might be worth calling the store or manufacturer before actually spending money.
I was not aware that the memory slider had been removed (I don't have WM5), but I would presume that means that it is done automatically, and that the user is not supposed to mess with it, much like how Mac OS X doesn't require you to set a memory allocation for each program like Mac OS Classic did. For that matter, I think WM2003 was "semi-automatic" - on my iPaq, I can drag the slider 'til the cows come home, but it usually doesn't take long for it to snap back to wherever the PPC thinks it should be. As long as this doesn't negatively affect functionality, it doesn't bother me.

Short answer: you don't. WM5 uses RAM only for programs, and ROM only for storage. While this gives you less flexibility, it allows your device's storage to persist even if you take out the battery, etc.

D'oh, why didn't I make that connection? I knew it used RAM only for execution... (sigh), I was close.
