I have around AU$550 or converted US$400 to spend on a Pocket PC.

I have done alot of my own research but feel the need to ask some experts or more experienced buyers on the issue.

I am interested in Windows based software (although can be talked out of it) and most likely a Pocket PC, not a Palm.

It will be used for organisation, but would also like some entertainment out of it. Maybe a camera/video camera.

No need for mobile capabilities, but may be considered.

What are some good models to look at?

Thank you.

Well..looks like FL 720 is the devise thats suite u.
It has got camera, fast processor,CF n SD expansion,VGA(great for web-browsing and video capabilities) and is beautiful too..sadly no phone in-built. If you are happy with a devise without camera then I would suggest Dell Axim X51V(same features as mentioned above+more fast processor-camera+new windows mobile 5)

If you want phone edition(with camera), then, I would suggest you to go in for XDA O2S(it has been for above an year now so u may find it cheaper),but not at $400, may be $500-550,but the extra money would be well spent :D

BTW, Happy Christmas

FL 720?

Can't find any information on Google about that.

What he meant was actually PL720 or in full, Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox 720. It may or may not be available to you at your location - it's only sold at the retail level in Europe, though you can get it from third party importers.

You'd be hard-pressed roping in a LOOX 720 into Australia. If you want a stress-free solution, I suggest looking at the Dell Axim X51/X51v series. Unfortunately, $550 won't get you much at the moment, unless you want the low-end 416MHz model which I wouldn't recommend. At least look to the 520MHz X51 or the highly favourable 624MHz X51v.

If you wait a while, Dell will eventually hold a 20% off sale, so you could probably pick up one of the aforementioned models at a much cheaper price.

I think he has not mentioned the location and thats why I recommended him FL 720(fujitsu loox 720, if you wanna google :) )..Dell axim is second choice because in his list, he yearns for camera and 720 has it and x51v dont have it

I think he has not mentioned the location...

He mentioned AU$. They tend to be used only in Australia. ;)

It ought to be FS PL 720, rather than FL720 - which is he couldn't find any reference for it. I agree with Darius, it's going to be difficult to get the PL 720 in Aussie, plus there are questions on warranty and support.
