spending a month in australia in june, what would be the best way to recharge my device? a voltage adapter? ive also got a laptop and two mp3 players that will need power

Take a look at the chargers for these devices. The vaste majority these days are 110-220, 50-60Hz. They can be used worldwide, with just the adapter to get the plugs right. I'm sure your iPaq one is fine, but I don't know about the other things.

Sven's right. You only need an Australian plug-adapter to get your gadgets working. Most chargers are rated around 110-220V or 100-240V. Australia operates on 240V, so all should work fine.

For the record, I have Pocket PCs from America and Asia plugged into my sockets here in Oz. Everything is a-okay! :)
