Hello you guys!
I have difficulty converting MOV files to AVI ones.
To get to the point, I do not know which tool to use for converting files.
Would you like to recommend a good software?
In addition, I already have installed MOV codec and don't need Quicktime.
Thanks in advance :)

You can use QuickTime Pro, if you are willing to shell out the $30 (I think it's worth it).
I used to think MOV was vastly superior to AVI, but the way MOVs can pop-up as many web-ads as they want, unstoppably, while playing back, has make me rather sick of them.
The pop-up thing probably never worked on a PocketPC anyway, but the only way to avoid it on a desktop is to use something like VLC (I don't know about WMP with QuickTime, the Mac version is quite limited).

alternative method(if you have video edit magic 3+)
1.import the file(make sure you have quicktime installed)
2.then go to file>>export
3.Select the encoder(avi)
voila !!

If you want to do away with the conversion, I would recommend u to use pict pocket. It plays naive .mov(my friend told me)

By far the easiest solution is the free fairuse wizard (http://www.fairusewizard.com/lang_en/) software. You just choose the auto configuration whenever possible and it does everything.

I just joined the Forum, so excuse me for this tardy reply, but others may find this useful.
About two months ago I bought Allock converters. They all seem to work well. They have a MOV converter. You can try it out on a trial basis to see if it works.
As I said in another thread, I have had their avi to WMV conversion crash a few times, so not sure if that is my problem or Allok's.
I suspect it is my PC since I have about a bazillion firewalls, anti-virus, spyware detection, etc. all running on my PC. One of those has to be crashing the program or causing a conflict. History has shown me that most programs that crash are due to my PC's having so much crap on them :bangin:
Stay tuned.
