Transparency Picture

I need to transparent 3 pictures together using fireworks the problem is i never did it before. I have seen many pictures thats transparent together and some look beautiful and some are straight garbage. Can anyone help me out with this and also post some pictures transparent together.

By far the simplest way is to put each image on a separate layer, then change the transparency of each layer to suit your need using the slider at the left of the layer property inspector.

The more complex method is to employ masks ... I can fude my way through them, but cannot really give you an intelligible description of what to do. Check the help if you think you need to use masks.

PS... i wanted transparent more side to side (example.. house next to car next to boat) not on top of each other..... thanks again
