The aim of the game is to create groups of at least three diamonds of the same color. If you manage to create larger groups, you will receive various bonuses in form of special diamonds. The 4 game modes include a time trial, an endless game, and games the aim of which is to create lines or arbitrary shapes."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/wey-20051216-RescoDiamonds.jpg" /><br /><br />Resco Diamonds 1.0 has just been released. The game's concept is very similar to Bejeweled, so if you're a fan of the genre, you might want to check this title out. It supports both QVGA and VGA devices, and features an auto-save function and four game modes. <a href="http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=178957&productType=2">Handango</a> is selling it for $14.95. It's no Gamebox Gems. Not bad looking in VGA, at least.

Why make a Bejeweled clone?! What's the point? Everyone knows about Bejeweled, and no way is anyone going to improve on the perfection of what Astraware has already done with it. Bejeweled 2 is especially awesome. :)

Silly Resco. Clones are for kids.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, don't we say?!

If someone has ideas to improve a products I say: Go ahead!!

Unfortunately Resco Diamonds can't slide tiles :? and it and the version of Bejeweled I trialed are both incapable of moving the tiles diagonally 8O , thus reducing by half the possible moves .

And this makes using them very frustrating compared to Clickgamer's own versions: Cropped Out, Eggstreme, Snowed In and Snowed In 3, the 4 of them DO allow for diagonal moves 8).

I agree... I am a much bigger fan of Eggstreme... err.. the original one.

Besides with Resco Diamonds you have to wait for all the matching tiles to disapear one by one, altho seemingly fast you still have to wait longer than you wish.

I like Snowed In possibility:
"Continuous play! Don't wait for colums to settle!"

My problem with Resco Diamonds is that the game play is too easy. I selected the non-endless version, but hadn't got the end of a game in the 60 minute trial allowed. Given that there is an endless option in Diamonds, the not endless version needs to be harder.
