Welcome to PPCT :)
Because this problem may affect a lot of readers, I've posted the solution to my blog instead of this forum; please read http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&title=the_pocket_pc_realone_player_installer_t&more=1

I did exactly what you posted on your blog site but the realplayer.cab file I saw was a zipped file containing a lot of files. I am kinda confused...what do I do now? Am I supposed to only copy 1 .cab file?
Your swift reply would be greatly appreciated. :D

Copy the CAB file to your PPC and click it from File Explorer.

I have installed realtime player on my pocket pc (Dell axim x51v) by doing the method you stated, moving the CAB file. When I try to use the program I can only hear the playback I do not see any picture. Did I do something wrong with the install or is there something else I can do to get the picture to play. Any help would be most helpful. Thank you for you time.

Are you trying to watch variabale bitrate RM files? The RealOne player can't play them.

I am not trying to watch bitrate RM files. I was able to watch the files before, but I add updates to my Pocket PC and had to reinstall realtime player. And now after I reinstalled it, it will only play sound no picture. I installed realtime player version 1 and not the newer beta version. Could that be the problem.

Don't think so - the two versions don't differ much.
You could backup your x51v and try with a fresh install after a hard reset. If it previously worked but doesn't work any more, then, it's incompatibility with some other software on your PDA. (And , if it still doesn't work, just restore the backup.)

Thank you for your help, I think you are right about it not being compatible with some other software on my PDA. I tried your last suggestions and they did not do the trick (I went from windows 2003 to windows 2005). Do you know of any way to convert RM files to pay on Windows Media? Once again thank you for your time.

Try googling "rm to wmv converter" - a ton of links.
