Please Help! Lost my data after a restore

I backed up my Toshiba e805 yesterday. I experienced a loss of data on my Mobipocket reader today. When I restored the backed up data today, it reset my PPC to the day I installed it, 9/24/05. To make matters worse, when I attempted to sync it it now syncs as a Guest. What can I do to restore the data to 12/03/05?

I'm sorry if I misread your post, but can't you just adjust the clock the present day?

Unfortunately, it reset the data in the PPC to 9/24/05. It is displaying the correct day, although it thinks it is now daylight saving time.

What backup software are you using? Also, are you talking about the PIM data?

That's how backups work. If you restored your e805, then it will be just as you left it during your last backup. As far as why it only sync's as Guest, you can try deleting the existing partnership and recreate it. However, if you synch files with your device, when ActiveSync asks if you want to delete those files, answer "No".

So is it possible you restored the wrong backup?

I suppose it is possible, but I don't know how I could have done it. I simply clicked the restore button in DataBackup. BTW, after deleting my previous partnerships, I was able to sync it to the current data. As I look at it today, it says Last Backup: 10/14/05 9:23PM. Since I backup at least once per week, I am puzzled why it says that. I didn't look at it prior to my problem.
