WM5 & dropping CF Card

I have a Dell Axim 51V and have updated the rom to the most recent "fix." However after turning it off and on it can't find the cf card until I do a soft reset. I remember that this use to be a problem with the SD card but that always seems to be there. Anyone know of a tweak, fix, hack etc?

I understand CF disappearing is far more common than SD, and that is also my experience.

As for tweaks/hacks/workarounds, the one that was all the rage yesterday hasn't worked for me as of this morning. So I don't know of anything people have found that works longterm.

I am, however, still on the original A01 version ROM, as the update doesn't work on my Win 2000 machine.

I had the same problem, even with the latest A04 ROM. :(

There seem to be a lot of card detection delays in Windows Mobile 5.0 (more so than Windows Mobile 2003/2003 SE). I'm sure a ROM update will be released soon to address this issue, not just on the Axims, but other devices too.

To bring closure to this discussion - this problem is fixed, no workaround needed, in rom A12.
