There are quite a few (including freeware) - google for "vnc" and pocket pc. By preference I use this:

Lately a guy named Vijay made available a tiny software hack for the Windows Mobile remote desktop client (mstsc40.exe) to enable full-screen support.

Guys, I've updated to v0.2, correcting a bug that prevented non-keyboard users accessing the SIP.

This is merely a test release; more features will be added shortly. Stay tuned.

This is what I've got setup.

UltraVNC Server
http://www.ultravnc.net

it's open source, it's free, it works great, it's easy, and it's constantly in development. runs on basically any platform, and includes a http/java server so you can Remote to it via any webbrowser that supports java. Great community, too.

in fact, since it has the java viewer, i've read ppl have installed a java runtime on your PPC, and you don't even need a vnc client then! you can do it all through PIE, but hte functionality is limited.

And on the PPC side, I use .NET VNC Viewer
http://dotnetvnc.sourceforge.net/

It works great on WM5 and basically any .NET capable machine, including Windows XP (if you've installed the .NET Framework).
It's great cause the single EXE works on both XP and any Windows CE handheld! So you can copy it to your laptop, or any desktop, or any other PPC w/o any need of other files.

It's slightly slow on my PPC, but still usuable (and I haven't compared it to other vnc viewers on ppc). It supports VGA and QVGA, it can scale the screen, it can rotate, it supports right clicks, etc.

I belive this viewer also works with other VNC servers, such as RealVNC.

Hope this helps!

I believe this is the best setup because UltraVNC is great. You can use their http interface from any computer w/ java, or you can use their viewer, or you can use the ppc viewer.

and the ppc viewer is great cause you can copy teh EXE to basically anything windows (w/ .net) and be set!

Guys, I'm updating VJFullScreenTSC to v0.3
updates: Scrollbar hiding and some navigation control

http://www.vijay555.com/vj/releases/vjfullscreentsc/SH2.jpg

http://www.vijay555.com/vj/releases/vjfullscreentsc/SH1.jpg

When the scrollbars are hidden, use the VJFullScreenTSC menu to navigate around if you're in QVGA.

Issues: the startbutton is unaccessible until you scroll down, so you have to use the menu, scroll down a bit, and then use the start button. This will be corrected shortly.

Available on my website www.vijay555.com

Noone said anything about RemotelyAnywhere? They rock! Though the remote control doesn't work with WM5 yet.

AT $99, I don't think many would give it much of a look considering most of the competition is free.

If you have Windows 2k Server/XP Pro/2k3, then, TSC (Terminal Services Client) is the way to go, especially over slow (for example, mobile phone-based) connections. You may want to read http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&title=how_can_i_remote_control_my_desktop_wind&more=1 on setting it up/using it.
