Hi

I use an HP foldable keyboard with my iPAQ 2750. It works well but I have to keep removing the battery when I have finished with it otherwise the battery just doesn't last. There doesn't seem to be a way of switching it off.

In the beginning I thought when it senses a lack of activity for sometime it must turn itself off, but that doesn't seem to be so. Also, I aways turn off blue tooth on my iPAQ when I no longer want to use the keyborad.

There is no mention of how to turn off the keyboard in the instructions that came with it. Has anyone else found a way of turning the keyboard off besides taking the battery out?

I'm not sure of the specific instructions to using the HP Foldable Keyboard, but last I remember, removing the battery was the best option to avoid quick drainage. I don't recall an on/off switch anywhere, but maybe someone else with the keyboard could chime in with an alternative option.

Thanks. Yes, that's what I have been doing but it's not ideal as everytime you put the battery in you have to go through the process of entering the KEY for the keyboard. Also, undoing the battery cover to install the battery is a bit of a pain; I am afraid of it flying off when I am travelling on a plane or on the train...

Hello:

I used to have the HP bluetooth foldable keyboard. It was not hard to set up and had a number row. But then I had the battery problem, and had to pair the device to make it work again.
I bought a Think Outside bluetooth foldable, and it is really much better in every respect, altough it doesn't have a number row.
I ended up selling the HP through eBay, for half of what I paid, because I think it should not be a hassle to set up a keyboard everytime. The TO you just unfold it and start typing. Batteries last a long time, and really turns off when you fold it. It is a shame HP cannot design a decent keyboard or software for their own products :?:
Good luck with yours
